Procedures involving the 900/1800 MHz band

This section provides information on past frequency procedures in the GSM 900 MHz band:

  • January 25, 1996: GSM 900 allocation to max.mobil, Mobilkom assessment decision
  • August 10, 1998: Mobilkom frequency expansion (K9/98-85)
  • August 25, 1999: max.mobil frequency expansion(K41/98-46, K41/98-128)
  • April 3, 2000: Connect frequency expansion (K41/99-8)
  • October 21, 2002: 900/1800 MHz frequency allocation procedure (K6/02)
  • November 8, 2004: GSM 900 MHz (2004) frequency allocation procedure (F3,7/04)
  • April 26, 2006: T-Mobile Austria takeover of tele.ring (F2/05-76)
  • June 25, 2007: Approval of T-Mobile Austria's use of guard channels previously separating tele.ring frequencies (F2/07-3).
  • September 29, 2008: GSM 900 MHz (2008) frequency allocation procedure (F01/07)
  • July 18, 2011: Consultation (commentsresults and further steps) on future frequency assignments and on the liberalisation of the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands
  • September 19, 2011: Frequency allocation procedure for 800, 900 and 1800 MHz (F1/11)
  • Dec 13, 2012: With decision F6/12 of the TKK the transfer of rights of use for the channels 975-990 towards A1 Telekom Austria AG has been approved.
  • Dec 13, 2012: With decision F1/12 the change of ownership on Orange Austria Telecommunications GmbH, which is the outcome of the transfer of 100% of Orange Austria towards Hutchision 3G Austria Holdings GmH, has been approved.
  • July 28, 2014: decision of TKK in the procedure according to Art 57 para 1 TKG 2003   (F6a/14, F6b/14, F6c/14).
  • October 30, 2014: Joint application of Hutchison Drei Austria GmbH and T-Mobile Austria GmbH regarding spectrum trading in the 900 MHz band (F9/14-01).
  • December 19, 2014: Approval of TKK of spectrum trading 900 MHz F 9/14(from Drei to A1 TA) and F 10 and F11/14(from T-Mobile to Drei)
