Spectrum 1800 MHz
The figure below shows the 1800 MHz frequency band (band 3):
The frequency band is operated in FDD mode, with mobile phones transmitting in the lower band and base stations transmitting in the upper band.The frequency band is used for LTE as well as GSM; in the following years a further shift towards LTE use is expected.
The following figure shows the usage rights in the 900 MHz band taking into account the usage rights starting with 01.01.2016/2018/2020 (granted in the multiband auction 2013) as well as refarming:
