Mobile Number Portability

For data transmission regarding mobile number portability, communication network providers need a unique network identifier ("bbb-Kennung").

A list of these identifiers is available for download at the bottom of this page.

According to Art. 1 Par. 2 KEV, RTR has to compile statistics on number portability (amongst other data).

At the bottom of this page, a template for the transmission of number portability data is available for download.

This schedule was established in coordination with Austrian mobile operators. It lists all days when porting of mobile numbers is possible.

Porting is possible on all days of the year, except on:

• Sundays
• All public holidays (except for the 8^th of December, if it is not a Sunday)
• 24^th of December,
• 31^th of December,
• 1^st and 3^rd Wednesday of any month (maintenance work)

The Mobile Number Portability Schedule is available for 2018 to 2021.
