The European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP)

By decision of the European Commission (2010/C 217/07) from August 10th, 2010, the Europan Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) was founded. RTR, as an independent national regulatory authority is a member of this group.   

The main tasks of this advisory group are

• to provide advice and support to the European Commission for the consolidation of the internal market for postal services,
• to provide advice and support to the European Commission on all questions in relation to postal services within their responsibility,
• to provide advice and support to the European Commission in relation to the development of the internal market for postal services as well as the consequent application of the legal framework for postal services in all member states and
• the implementation of extensive consultations with market players, stakeholders, consumers and users at an early stage, which shall be conducted  in agreement with the European Commission in an open and transparent manner.
