What is a certified measurement?

The certified measurement makes it possible to establish conclusive statements about the quality of your own Internet connection and to document these in a simple way. These findings serve as the basis for a so-called prima facie proof of certain warranty aspects of the Internet connection from an Austrian operator.

The certified measurement documents facts. The decision as to whether a contractually compliant service is provided or not is therefore always the responsibility of the decisive body. This can be the conciliation body of RTR or a court.

The legal basis of the certified measurement are Art 17b Austrian Telecommunications Act 2003 and Art. 4 para. 4 Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 (TSM Regulation).
