Austrian Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA): EUR 121,000 grant for documentary „Österreichs Grenze“ – TV premiere on 21 October Press release dated 20 October 2014 The Austrian Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA) provided a grant of EUR 121,000 for the production of the documentary „Österreichs Grenze“, hence financing 22.5% of the overall production costs. The documentary was produced by the Austrian production company Interspot Film GmbH. The grant application had been made at the third application date 2013; the award decision was taken on 27 September 2013. TV premiere as part of the “Universum” series The production will be shown for the first time on ORF 2 on Tuesday, 21 October 2014, at 8:15 pm – as part of the “Universum” series under the title „Österreich - Land der grünen Grenzen“. The documentary takes viewers on a unique, 3,000 km trip along Austria’s present-day border. It leads through natural paradises and to the most beautiful places and most significant buildings lining the border, while telling stories of humans and animals, in a manner characteristic of the border region. About FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA The Austrian Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA), established at RTR, is the largest funding agency for television productions in Austria. Funding is provided for the production of television films, series and documentaries with a clearly discernable economic reference to Austria by production companies with business premises or a branch in Austria.
