Telekom-Control-Kommission: allocation procedure for the 450 MHz frequencies completed

The Telekom-Control-Kommission (TKK) announces the completion of the allocation procedure for frequencies in the 450 MHz range. Several paired frequency packages amounting to a total bandwidth of 2 x 4.44 MHz were awarded. Auction revenues totalled EUR 357,000.

The outcome of the auction, held on 24 June 2013 and 25 June 2013, was as follows: Schrack MEDIACOM GmbH acquired twelve blocks of 2 x 200 kHz each along with one fringe block for a total of EUR 204,000. Kapsch CarrierCom AG acquired nine blocks of 2 x 200 kHz each and one fringe block for a total of EUR 153,000.

As specified in detail in the allocation decision, the applicants’ bidding behaviour displayed some peculiarities as the auction progressed. However, the Telekom-Control-Kommission was ultimately not able to deduce that there was any collusive behaviour on the applicants’ part either before or during the auction.
