The documentary is a coproduction of AMOUR FOU Filmproduktion GmbH and the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF).In this documentary, the famous painter, musician and co-founder of the Viennese School of Fantastic Realism, Arik Brauer, born in 1929, tells the story of his childhood in the Viennese blue-collar district Ottakring, the survival strategies he developed as a Jewish child during the Nazi regime and the memories of his years of apprenticeship and travel during the post-war period. The film also reflects Arik Brauer’s cycling tours throughout Europe and Africa as well as his passion for the mountains and his engagement with and examination of communism.The production was first broadcast on ORF 2 on 20 November 2012 at 10.30 pm (rerun on 21 November 2012 at 8.15 pm on ORF III). Television film “Trau niemals deiner Frau” – caper film starring famous actors Harald Krassnitzer, Fritz Karl and Lisa Maria Potthoff The television film “Trau niemals deiner Frau” was supported by the Austrian Television Fund (FERNSEHFONDS AUSTRIA) with EUR 360,000 (19.7% of overall production costs). It was produced for the Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) and ZDF by MONA Film Produktion GmbH. The film’s perceptibility for blind and visually impaired persons was improved by employing audio description, a technique that consists of adding acoustic descriptions of what is happening on the screen.The idyllic life of Niklas, a guileless jeweller (Harald Krassnitzer) changes abruptly when he finds out that his wife Carolin (Lisa Maria Potthoff) used to be part of a duo of burglars. But instead of handing her and her ex-boyfriend (Fritz Karl), who reappeared unexpectedly, over to the police, Niklas decides to commit an insurance fraud with their help.
